KATIE COURIC
American Newscaster
On October 31, 2007, Katie Couric dressed-up as Marilyn Monroe for Halloween.
Dressed as Marilyn's character, Lorelei Lee from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Katie emulated the infamous Diamonds Are A Girls Bestfriend routine. Both Katie and her daughter are big Marilyn Monroe fans.

CHARLIZE THERON
Actress
In April 2006, actor Tom Hanks mentioned that he would like to make a movie out of the novel Goddess: The Secret Lives of Marilyn Monroe. He also mentioned that he would like Charlize Theron to play Marilyn, although actress Scarlett Johansson is known as the "Modern Marilyn". If Tom Hanks does produce the movie, I think Scarlett could play Norma Jeane and young Marilyn and Charlize could play Marilyn from the late 50's to the early 60's.
Charlize played Marilyn Monroe in a sketch for Saturday Night Live along side Jimmy Falon.
Below are images of Charlize Theron emulating Marilyn Monroe.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON
Actress
Scarlett is known as Hollywood's "Modern Marilyn" with her classic Old Hollywood looks she is regularily compared to Marilyn Monroe.
"Well I'm a huge fan of Marilyn," Scarlett said. "She was always so glamorous and hopefully, it's not the tragedy that reminds everybody. Certainly, she had an incredible sort of seamless sexiness and grace that was just divine."

MIRA SORVINO
Actress
Mira Sorvino played Marilyn Monroe in the 1996 HBO production Norma Jean & Marilyn, which was highly-fictionalized. It was partially-based on Norma Jean: My Secret Life With Marilyn Monroe by actor Ted Jordan who claimed to have had a years-long relationship with Monroe, although he has no actual proof of this. Just another person using Marilyn's name for fame and fortune.
I've read the book and it is terrible. Both the novel and the movie made Marilyn look a slut, a joke and crazy. It's a shame many people believe that the novel/movie was truthful. I also feel that Mira wasn't a good choice to play Marilyn Monroe. Mira doesn't look like Marilyn and didn't portray Marilyn very well.

ASHELY JUDD
Actress
Ashley Judd played Norma Jeane in the 1996 HBO production Norma Jean & Marilyn, which was highly-fictionalized. Ashley Judd was a nice choice to play Norma Jeane but it was the movie itself that was terrible. Ashley Judd has a few nude scenes in this movie, including the photo shoot of Norma Jeane posing nude on red velvet, the images used in the famous Golden Dreams calendar.
